EMEA (ISC)² Secure Summit

(ISC)2, the world’s largest non-profit membership association of certified cybersecurity professionals, will hold its Secure Summit EMEA on 15-16 April 2019 at World Forum The Hague, in the International City of Peace, Justice and Security. The best minds in cybersecurity from across EMEA (400+) will come together and provide a highly interactive educational programme to tackle today's concerns.

Topics include privacy, cybercrime, cloud, incident response and forensics, professional development, cutting edge technology. Throughout the event, delegates will participate in Enriching sessions, panels and best practice sharing to sharpen their skills and hone their craft. Two days of trainings and peer discussions that focus on relevant domains, timely issues and soft skills development that Enable delegates to become more well-rounded, effective practitioners. When they leave, delegates will be ready to Excel and achieve their professional goals and better secure their organisations.

The conference programme

The two-day main conference agenda and one-day pre-conference workshops on 14 April will be delivered by real-world practitioners from within the (ISC)² membership, which comprises over 140,000 certified professionals around the world, alongside academic, government and subject-matter experts that are driving priorities in security today. The keynote speeches will be delivered by: Felicity Aston MBE, British Polar Explorer; Joseph Carson, Chief Security Scientist & Advisory CISO, Thycotic; Dr. Jessica Barker, Co-Founder, Cygenta and Lorna Trayan, Strategy Leader at IBM Security Services.  

Confirmed highlights include a GDPR simulation workshop. Dealing with a data breach is one of the toughest things you’ll ever have to do. At the Secure Summit, attendees can work through a real-world GDPR data breach, developing the skills needed to keep their organisations compliant and safe from fines and reputational damage.

The professional development track features sessions on “positive security” and its benefits to application security in the workplace, implementing agile crisis and continuity management and a look at the psychology of a hacker.

The cloud track features case studies from some of the world’s largest companies and institutions, showcasing how they have used and secured the cloud effectively. Meanwhile, the incident response track features sessions on digital forensics, dealing with exploitability over vulnerability, along with sessions on building better incident response plans tailored to your own organisation.
