The Hague: Discussing the Future Of Peace & Justice

The Case

For two days, more than 500 UN participants from multiple countries joined forces in The Hague — the second UN city in the world. This year’s theme centred around The Future is Now- Accelerating Public Service Innovation for Agenda 2030. International delegates, from ministers to high-level decisions-makers, came together to discuss the future of public services for global citizens. The Hague, the International City of Peace and Justice, served as the perfect stage for this event as the city is a reflection of constant change for a better world.

The Venue

The World Forum had the privilege to host both the event and ceremony. This up-to-date venue offered UN participants the largest auditorium in The Hague to discuss public service innovations from around the world.   

2017 UN Public Service Forum The Hague

The Hague — the second UN city in the world— has been a stage for international peace conferences since 1899. Watch as 500 UN participants gather at the 2017 UN Public Service Forum to continue the progression of peace & justice around the world.

The City

The Hague is an innovative city that held its first international peace congress in 1899. Therefore, it was the perfect place for UN participants to gather and discuss public service innovations for future generations around the world. 

The Support

Event organisers provided delegates with short plenary programs, workshops, talk shows, reflection moments during the 2-day event. Delegates were also able to participate in biking tours around the city as part of the social program. 

The Client

The United Nations is a household name that advocates for cooperative and inclusive approach to solving the world’s most pressing issues. Each year it organises a conference during which the international community shares experiences on how public services in the participating countries can be improved. Previously such conferences were held in the United States, South Korea, Bahrein, Spain and Colombia.
