About the moderator
André Koster, an independent marketing communications consultant, with over 20 years of experience in commercial and non-profit communications projects. André has worked as communications manager for multinationals such as DHL and AkzoNobel, as well as for leading communications agencies JWT and DDB Unlimited.
Since 2014, André started his own consultancy company, Frontier Marketeer, taking on board also non-profit organizations as well as governmental institutes. In 2015 André co-founded Young Guns Media, a non-profit communications agency in Yangon, Myanmar. André is specialized in measuring the effectiveness of communications campaigns using data analysis, working together with Universities, non-profit organizations and well-known consumer brands. André regularly publishes in Dutch and international magazines on this topic. Currently, André is working for the City of The Hague, EU climate-KIC and several commercial brands. His last publication in Adformatie involves an analysis of communication effectiveness during times of crisis.
About the speakers
👨🏻💻 Patrick Delaney, Managing Partner at SoolNua.
Together with his business partner, Patrick Delaney is Managing Partner at SoolNua, a specialist MICE agency helping destinations, hotels and venues with strategy, marketing and training based on 6 decades of expertise as global leaders in the industry. Previously, both Delaney and his business partner Gilligan worked for MCI, a global association, communications and event management company.
Patrick holds a BA degree in Hospitality Management from Dublin Institute of Technology. He worked in hotels in Ireland, Canada as well Bord Failte’s Hotel Advisory Service. He worked for 11 years in the US, leading the sales and marketing efforts for the Irish Tourist Board. Patrick returned to Ireland in the early 90s and worked as Sales and Marketing Director for a five-star luxury hotel brand and launched the very successful Adare Manor Festival.
Patrick has been honoured with various awards at the meeting and events industry’s premier shows, EIBTM and IMEX. He has also been a speaker for a number of industry events and continues to give regular seminars and lectures across all continents of the world.
👩💻 Carola van der Hoeff, COO & Congress Director International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP)
Carola van der Hoeff is currently holding the position of Chief Operating Officer and Congress Director at International Pharmaceutical Federation, which is the global federation gathering 151 national associations of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists. Carola is responsible for overseeing the organization's daily operations and enhancing internal processes to help the nonprofit grow and fulfill its mission. She has graduated from the Higher School of Economics in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, majoring in International Business.
Before joining FIP, she had been working for over 16 years as a Professional Congress Organizer.
Carola is President Elect of AC Forum and Chairwoman of the Pre-finance & Guarantee fund in the Netherlands. She has been awarded the PCMA 2019 Global Business Events Executive of the Year.

He is a consultant for the successful marketing of congress centres and destinations as well as communications for congress and business events. He is also the author of numerous articles and editor- in-chief of the meetings industry magazine KONGRES MAGAZINE.
